Celebrating Earth Day and 20 Years of the JungleVine Foundation

This Earth Day, we’re celebrating not just our planet—but also a milestone close to our hearts. The JungleVine® Foundation is marking 20 years of environmental and social impact. Since 2005, we’ve worked to preserve traditional Khmu craftsmanship, protect ecosystems, and promote sustainable, chemical-free products made from the remarkable jungle vine plant, Pueraria phaseoloides.

Every JungleVine® product supports environmental health. The vine itself is a natural wonder: it grows wild without cultivation, removes carbon from the air, and restores degraded soil. The production process uses no electricity, fuel, or synthetic chemicals—just traditional hand-spinning and generations of knowledge passed down through Khmu communities.

Beyond its environmental benefits, our mission has always been deeply human. JungleVine® empowers women to work from home while caring for their children. This creates economic opportunities without disrupting family life or community traditions. Each tote bag represents both environmental resilience and the dignity of handmade work.

A Legacy of Sustainability

Since our founding in 2005, the JungleVine Foundation has worked to protect the environment while empowering indigenous communities. Each bag helps reduce plastic waste while providing fair-trade income to Khmu artisans, allowing them to preserve their traditional hand-spinning techniques.
